MORNING!! well the weather could go either way ....sUnny or clOudy...humm bit a both i am guessing.... well so much to do ...so little lounge time to do it all....lol have a good one.....

Welcome new week.. SMILE.... Over here in Wiebeville we were out and about since 11:30 am to 6:30 pm..whoot whoot our first big yard cleaning, fire eating, branch crackling, hotdog stealing (ok that was our dog) chicken de-wing-feathering ..um that means we cut the flight feathers of our little hens..in silly language, ..... smile.
ahh i love the smell of work being done.
And to top it all off my good buddy came with her grandson and helped us out. She also brought watermelon.!! oh yeah..... The yard (mostly the back) looks so MUCH better i can hardly take it. sooo nice. i feel like a huge weight i never even knew existed was lifted ...i'm so happy.

Hubby ran out on us early..*!!!GO CANUCKS!!!* -who can blame him?- and when we roasted our last doggie we got ready for a night swim...just got back.....and now the boyz are finishing there night snack of 'Banana blasted good Bread' with a lovely cup of cold fresh milk and are being tucked in for the night.
Heard that our GUYS didn't make it tonight..poor Canucks ..i bet there some tired...well Tuesday !!? alrighty? Common guys you can do this !!GO CANUCKS....please.
Speeking of Tuesday...waaa hooo its softball season....go Benny go Mally!!! love em boyz!! so i hope i am prepared for it...yikes i better be organized or i may sink this ship...lol no worries i made 6 loaves of Banana bread. If nothing else we will eat that....haha just kidding....

well i am off to drink a gallon of H2O as i feel a little dehydrated...and then its sliders time. Our new nightly show..hehe season one....haha its fun enough....

this may be creepy to some of you ,...but we really did have a good time..and it was for the silliness of it all....haha

So my little son and i were clowns for the afternoon...we were helping Choices, with their - flea market / garage sale...well actually we didn't really help do anything. We just really wanted to be clowns for the day and so we were! Benjoe and JoanOh handed out candies, sold helium balloons(.25 each) and were just kinda silly, standing and sitting and yelling "BallOOns for sell!!!" haha..... We really need the practice...and the work...so if any of you need a clown for hire..hehe just let us know. We had a blast ..and i will have to try and think up an act we can do for the slow times...lol





BenJOE is the cutest clown ever....hehe And such a good sport!! Way to go Benjoe!!!

actually its May....snicker, i am so bad about this post.

happy earth day....Earth day ..what is earth day ....a celebration of earth. humm i am waaay to grumpy to be posting an earth day blog.....sigh but i am going to give it a try:

i can hear numerous birds chirps and whistles outside....inside my house is extremely quiet..boyz are all out and about with my hubby.....even my fridge is turned off...only the quiet humm of my pc...one of our chickens is very happy out there, must have laid an egg....from my window i can see buds on my lilac tree...but around my yard there is much tiding to be done....arg i was almost not frowning....which is not quite a smile...but it was closer ....

Its somewhat overcasty today...so that could be why i am less excited about the day..or maybe its the long list of "to do's"....and am kinda tired to say the least....(which is probably the real reason..just old fashion tIred!)

But back to Earth Day...and all that it means and the 'will dos' and 'so forths'....humm what can i post that we do DO?..

we recycle bottles...(not that we happily ever sort bottles...there is much moaning and less than friendly chatter- and no one thinks "look we are saving our landfills" mostly we are thinking "there isn't enough money to be doing this!" so sad but true

hey we have chickens.... haha and 8 annoying roosters..there day is coming.

hang our clothes on the line... actually going without a dryer in January we were hanging them inside..(yikes not recommended)

cold water wash..laundry that is

i reuse plastic jugs/jars/pails.... although i must confess...the other day i threw out a glass jam jar. One of my boyz says "Mom this is a really nice jar, you should save it." so i did fish it out, clean it, and put it with the other numerous glass jars. sigh ...in this moment i am so great full i listened.

does hand-me-down clothes count?

drop off and pick up(haha sometimes in the same day) from thrift stores / flea markets / garage sales...oh i love it all.....ahhhhh

compost/chicken scraps/dog scraps-- ok more confessions...Yes we do give our chickens lots of scraps..and our dog gets anything worthy...but ...yeah the first one....compost.....well i always want to compost...ok this is so lame...but i am waiting to purchase a Lee Valley stainless steal compost pot..with a lid. i know shameful isn't it.

i want to put an order in with a friendly soaps and such.....(yeah if i am still waiting to buy a pot like try 10 years...how long do you think it will take to order the soaps?)

i love picking berries, fruit, ....from other people who don't want to/it ..

also i have been known to take unwanted leaves from the road side, well driveways...in garbage bags.... i would always ask first.......my boyz still cringe when we talk about the good ole days. (snicker snicker)

we really aren't thoughtful stewards ..we throw out as much as we save ... if we have the money to treat the kids to something fUn we do, and we don't usually look to see if it is bio friendly or less packaged..and we have been known to burn ..well campfires. for fun. we do not burn plastics- unless by mistake--and this one you will like--NO StyroFoam. no buy. no burn. no use. thank you very much.

i think i am married to an anti-green leafer....i think he enjoys the clean, fresh, outdoors once he is out there...but hes not likely to consciously make a real effort in saving the planet. i hope i didn't incriminate him. He is a really great guy ....but he doesn't hug tress...and so being hugged so often i forget the beloved greens more often than not. sorry. i will try harder...with or without my stainless steal pot.

Gwen...i am posting this late because .. i am shamed. but i can't really make any great plans as of yet. i hope this doesn't mean we can't still be friends......... i hope i will be making more effort into it ....

This is where it all started....of course innocently.....My sons name is Ben....and my other son is Jer.....so it only made sense to buy my son,- who wants to become an ice cream taste tester when he grows up,- a special treat....
Lucky me he shared......actually not really .....because i don't really like ice cream...and i really liked this one.....ok no worries...i only had a few bites...then my husband came and helped our little son out....Plus its darn expensive so that won't even be a problem.

Then a friend's teenage son had a birthday.....so instead of a cake (which he's not so into) i thought hey ice cream! [still on my mind...DUH] So i bought him two kinds....

And this bad boy.....well some of it is still in the freezer....[[i admit to nothing]]....all i can say is, Lightning!!!! iffen you have that in your freezer and your pms'in-sorry well .....it might not all be in there for long..... i know..... i probably let some of you down.... mercy if only you knew how the coffee liqueur with a chocolate cookie crumb swirl ...and little fudge cows tasted............................... if you have never tasted Ben & Jerry's ice cream...don't.




i worked out this morning with a friends mom who is training me with weights..(i am the worst student)......then i went for a walk with friends who are training to get in shape.....(i don't think i mentioned the ice cream to them....and if i did they might take all my points away) And in just a little while i am off to met a friend for a power walk.....sigh don't be too hard on me...i was awfully grumpy until i stumbled into it....then miraculously....humm maybe even deliriously.. i became happy. so happy in fact i sang all through dinner.....my poor family....................

i think i needed some calcium...

Yesterday being Easter ...(my husband always try's to appease me on special occasions) my family and our dog went out and about which equals a walk(smile)...We even brought an old basket that was in the soon-to-be-thrown-out pile. Our youngest son wanted something to put "treasures" in. Haha we came home with 4 -5 fishing flys a bunch of cool drift wood and a couple exceptionally nice rocks. Also a green peace bag (mine) of garbage. [my boyz were not exceptionally happy about that. Witnessing me picking up litter was quite bad enough...having to themselves was ....well i thought it was funny] So hey we had Easter after all....it wasn't very traditional no chocolate, heck no egg hunting, but our hunting for lures and flys was really fun! The air was warm my company sweet... When we came home me boyz and i cleaned some yard and i even got a flower bed ready for plantin'...of course that won't be any time sooooon.....maybe in May..... There is new snow on the mountains this morning....arrrg. Well on a better note its raining and spRing is all about growth and life....hope your Easter was kind to you....nice to have the kids home today...maybe we will brave the rain and puddle jump a bit....

warmth is good...even without the sUn....

well Happy Easter (the day before) hope everyone could enjoy the most of outside today.(smile) Our town had not the warmth from the sUn but its air was extremly warm.. kicken' warm actually. i had to keep peeling me layers off....hat, mittens, jacket, wool sweater ....ahhh t-shirt time!? yeah our little jant felt wonderfully spRingy. My sweety son came a truckin today with his rumbleweed bike..big treck for him...especially over the bridge. Not used to the traffic on one side and dangerously high suspension on the other..lol i remember that off-feeling....i got to rUn..yipeee another 1k for my belt and i am soooo lovin it. (btw i do know this is really a tiny little piece of puzzle but man i am happy about it) rUnners clinic is comin fast...sooo nervous, but sooo ecstatic too!!! Cant wait till we all rUn 10ks....until then.

Seems to have quieted to a very satisfying stillness... or rather its darn silent in my ceiling...(laughter--you know what kind--wild eyed smashin mice kind) i would say sorry to all my mice liking bloggers....but i do try to be truthful, and any appoliges i make wouldn't be.

On a nicer note... i do wish you all a lovely Easter day.. life is a precious gift ..
it seems i have been learning that a step further each year...guess some of me is growing up.

Chocolate Chip Cookies......

Cookies..i dont know if i would ever say i love cookies... but about a month ago i was chatting with a friend and said to her they weren't a weakness for me...humm maybe they were/are i am not so sure now...all i do know is i find myself having a "lovely" chocolate chip cookie with my coffee and thinking these are the bestest cookies i have ever made!!!!
so because ever so recently i found out i am 22% evil (see post comments below) i will post the "lovelys" out for YOU...hehe out of kindness of course and not for evil....HAHA..right.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

4 cups Butter (don't even tell me you aren't going to use real butter!)
6 cups brown sugar
8 eggs (nice fresh farm ones)
4 tsp. Vanilla (make your own...tastes wayyyy good)

6 cups whole wheat (freshly ground)
2 cups reg flour
6 tsp baking powder (aluminum free) make your own
8 cups quick oats
4 cups chocolate chips (we use chipits)
31/2 cups unsweetend coconut

Cream butter and sugar together. Beat in eggs. Add vanilla.

Add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Drop by scoops (old fashion icecream scoops work the best)

Bake at 350* oven for about 8 minutes. If you over-bake them, you may have dunkers for milk...but complainers are bound to happen....i know this from experience!

Ok sooo this is a large recipe...it is mixed in my big stainless steal bread bowl. But you can freeze these bad boyz--(made with the perfect size scoop) on a cookie sheet very close together, when frozen, throw them in a frezzer bag. Then you have FRESH cOOkies anytime. No defrosting nessasary. Put them on your pan and slide them in the oven...KaPesh? ..any questions leave a comment.

Monday ...yet today is Wednesday...

Monday was a vIctory for me!! A small one, but nonetheless a vIctory. My friend let me rUn with her...and i rAn 1k!!! Yhahhh 1 spankin k!! This is a big deal to me. Its a far cry from 10k (Jess i live everyday thinking about how amazingly you rock) but its a start...then we walked at least 6 more..so my workout Monday KICKED! Yesterday's workout was smokin too..i just felt in tuned to my body and felt i had extra strength. Today my shins were complaining so at the gym i toned it down some and had a really good warming. To my amazement when i came outside, the air felt warmer?!! So i got home and me and faithful(me dog)went for the bridges...still took me an hour and half...but i rAn on the soft stuff..haha how silly i must look. Right now my shins smell a lovely erbal smell...(thanks hunny-hes so good to me) and with all my boyz in bed and the house so quiet, i think i will join them...ahhh i feel so plesently tired and happy.
ps. Greg, guess what came yesterday?? hehe new set of washer/dryer.
pps yeah i knew but it still came.

sUnny sUndays.....

i must say SUnday mornings are my favorite. Coffee is always good..especially when the sUn is beckening me to come & play... all my 'beloveds' are nestled in there sleepy-land beds...and i slip out for a lovely walk with my faithful dog. Today i wore my new workout skirt(LOL yea i typed right)its so fun..it looks so cute with my lululemon jacket...and yoga pants ..all black of course. So now on sUnday mornings while walking about, you might see me in my happy sUnday sKirt. sUnday mornings are so my favorite for walking. i love seeing people off to church or taking their loved ones out for breakfast/brunch... there are older walkers who nod in happy approval...there are some stumblers trying to get home ..not so pretty...but i can imagin i wouldn't look so good from an all nighter either. i feel so alive..so inspired for the day. The traffic is slower at first then picks up toward the end of our treck. There is so much time to think about the week before, the week to come..or not ..just lap in the quietness of the moment. My dog was especially good today..being mindful of me on semi-slippery spots. He is such an encouragement, he never minds if i just walk or if i break into a run..haha or i try to do both!! i never have to ask him if he's ready to go. Before i even ask he is waiting at the door..whining that i am taking too long. haha who could ask for more?
i do love sUndays.. when i get back home i make a big brunch. Its fun to be a little family, sitting around our little yellow table the sUn streaming in..ahh another lovely sUnny sUnday.
