SCOTTISH EGGS

Thanks to my Mom, (who is still in England) i have discovered a very tasty food. One in fact i would never have thought to make, ever. So thanks Mom..we all loved them. (well not Ben)
The site i found has pictures, [scottish eggs] showing each step nicely how to make Scottish Eggs beautifully. If you are visual-learner like me it is really appreciated. i ended up using a different recipe [scottish eggs 2] than the one with pictures because of what i had for ingrediants. A very simalar recipe to this is here, just a bit more Canadian style...lol (..be brave, have a laugh.. ) i baked them instead of deep frying, which is traditionally done. But i think i will try to deep fry them sometime. Baked is very good though.

Just a note ...apparently these balls of wonder are not from Scotland...oh well..

a new compliment.....

the best compliment this week by far, was on Thursday...someone said that because of my fresh homemade bread, he had to go out and buy a bread machine...lol that was a winner. wasn't that a good one...lol.. It was just so sweet i am posting about it because i dont want to forget it.

i made the most wonderful meatballs and sauce tonight....the recipe i used is from this site.. www.wakeforestmarket.org/meatballs.htm
haha i used my medium pc scoop...they turned out quite large...but delicious...
i guess i need to take pictures...then at least you could see the abillity that they could have been delicious...
My eldest son came home from school and immediately had a meatball sandwich which he said was really good...the site with a slightly different recipe but one i will try is called Monster Meatball Sandwiches

my new favorite...

because i am such a copy-cat...(refering to Christys post on her favorite cereal) i am posting about my new favorite cereal...i really don't like cereal much...but this one is amazing! of course i don't pour milk on it ...but i might. i just eat it as a snack. i must admit i only found it because i was thinking of Christy and was on the look-out for her favorite cereal...which sorry Christy.. no luck yEt...but i am still searching for you as well. But in the mean time you can find this new yummy cereal at Walmart..(where else..sigh) it has other flavors too..but for me its strawberries all the way!

BRIDGES HERE I COME !!!

Well much to my happiness i calculated my measurements from Saturday and i used up 4" ..that is progress!! and tonight i walked the bridges. It is a start. It took me longer than i thought but beginners have to start somewhere..and thats what me and me bIg black dOg did, we started.

Well i thought i had better update just in case i had a few lurkers that were getting tired of Monday Monday page.. i am currently thinking how nice it will be to sleep in tomorrow and that my gym is closed (only on Sundays)...hehe doesn't that sound awful!! Well on a nicer note, tomorrow is Sunday and my family will be going to the family skate. Yahh...i am so glad that we all like it. Skating is so much fun, even with sore feet!! My new skates are awsome but i still need to relace every few rounds to-get some relief. At the gym my endurance is actually improving which is so encouraging. i so wish i could run the bridges ...without stopping, gasping, dragging, whezzing, my throat tightening to the point i think 'this is it', 'i am about to die!!' Yea its a long way yet. LoL ..my new modo when i am working out is 'i am a runner therefore i will run' 'i am strong so i will get stronger' ..keeps me going..helps me stay focused ....i love pretending i am fit. It was a sad reallity Saturday (which was hours ago) when i stood on the scale and it wasn't lower...heck it weren't even the same!!...up a pound... sigh....my measurements where not a considerable difference either...sigh... its ok for now but mercy, they better change in the next 4weeks or i am going to be very upset...at (?) ...me. i guess i should put it in high gear and work doublely hard...i guess i thought i was....humm....less foods is next...awww....

All is good on the home front...no disasters this month and hopefully not any this week...[YEAR] We had an awsome friday night...hehe... laughed me as ... er, my belly off. Thanks P&A ...haha we need to do that again! But this time P will pick the supper. Come to think of it from now on if i have company over i am going to make them choose the supper. i dont mind making it...just you pick it!! i think that is the hard part...deciding on what to make!! So from now on you wanna come just let me know what to cook....kapeesh??

monday monday....

well a nice surprise has come up ...my mom has a blog!!! good job mom... So we can have updates and pictures ...it was of course the natural thing to do... so if she doesnt mind i will leave a link.. They are having a wonderful time already...we are all very happy for them..
its a Monday morning ..the 12th. 7months keep echoing in my ears ..thats ok i wouldn't not want it too. My family seemed(s) healthy this weekend, even my sniffles have left..wow One of us has been sick since Christmas so it feels shocking ...shockingly wonderful. Maybe we have fought it all and we will be strong healthy folks for the rest of the year..lol sigh...well i will take the break happily. This week should be a busy blur, with Valentines Day bringing extra activities for the kids....hehe fun stuff... Wishing blog-land all the best...

off to London

Well my mom just left to London today.. London England ...my brother lives there and bought my mom a ticket for christmas...so off she went ... three weeks to rest, visit, and sight-see. i truely hope she has a wonderful time. This is her first real trip anywhere...lol i know that is somewhat crazy but it is true .. i think she will travel more after this, at least i hope so. My brother is our families true traveler....he has lived in Australia, France, good ole Vancouver..and visited many inbetweens....Egypt, Germany, Italy (to name a few).... come to think of it, he should have a blog... i think someday i would like to travel .. but i like everyday living for the most part... but warm beaches and wonderful new walks wouldn't be so bad..with this cold wind blowing right through to our bones!!it sounds heavenly!! and thinking about shopping with my mom in London has a certain drawing to it (smile)...someday maybe.. i dont really like flying which is a bit of a draw back if you want to travel..haha but a yippee is in order...and a ...be safe mom......sniffsniff...

well i guess i have been out and about...i dont really have anything worthy of a post only that it has been so long i thought i better update... been working out lots (and loving it) skated today but my feet were too sore from sundays skate..hehe we my son and i went for a great walk to the island of dog crap...great place for dogs to wildly crap anywhere...but other than the crap..it was very nice icy run/walk!!! feels so good when you can get outside... today was esp. mild. well thats all ....hope blog land is well....
