always revising... everyday brings on its own.. but i still like to have a plan.

Monday: Salmon baked in a lemon herb/oil with rice and peas. Sliced Apple Coffee Cake with a dollop of cream.

Tuesday: Meatloaf and KD peas/carrots. Maybe a dessert muffin or choc nobake cookies.

Wednesday: Steak, Mashed Garlic Potatoes, Salads. Tarts -hopefully 'butter' as so i can bring some to a certain brother-in-law.

Thursday: Hashbrowns - eggs, bacon, peppers and cheese.

Friday: Stew, Buttermilk Biscuits

Saturday: might try those Chicken Saltimbocca's with rice and veggies. Baklava ..

Sunday...

Today is a cold grey windy Sunday... but the coffee is warm and lovely.. and the company is cute .. large and friendly... my chair always happy to hold me and today unlike every other day of the week there is nothing to rush too. Sunday it is a wonderful day ... can be a very restful sort of day....also a preparing day for the week to come....cookies.. muffins...pies.. little bit of family cleaning time. lol-everyone loves that...*wink* Sometimes finishing last minute homework... haha No one 4 sure loves that part..but it must be done. We are together for the day...at least mostly and we enjoy it.

I wont be making Beef Dinner tonight, instead we will be having our waffle meal. mmm with the trimmings of course.

Earlier this week i lost my brother.. i lost him for about hour and half.

i was very scared and i panicked slightly. ok a little more than slightly ..

he was suppose to ketch (sp?) the 5:20 .. home by 5:50/6:00... He was going solo... (eek-what was i thinking!) The scene.....Me pacing...'soon the bus will stop and Stan will walk in'... me more pacing.. i phone the bus number.. just to make sure..... ok bus people all gone home....pacing..... bus passes at 6:00. NO ONE WAS ON THAT BUS!!!..let alone did it stop.....AHHH i dash inside the house ..grab my truck keys, Jer jumps in. i yell for Sheldon to stir the soup!!!
oh helter skelter!!
btw if you could see me. i was wearing neon green crocs *home use only* and well bright pink fake eyelashes...*lol home use only* nuts.. at least i wasn't wearing one of the fake mustache that the boyz all had on!!..(another story) So what to do!! what else!!

Follow that bus!!!

ok so i over took the bus in no time...and the bus is clearly empty.. and still needs to go another route before it would head to town.... ahhhh ok we go to town first.. ....

Searching main street... "Stan where are you!?!"..... searching .. and lots of frantic praying!... He must have missed the bus? Did he get dropped off at the wrong stop? Well if he did miss the bus he would be at one of the bus stops...eek ...passed the second one and NO Stan!! Ok dashing back out of town.. redriving the route that the bus would have gone on... NO STAN.. ok starting to loose it. Phone husband he is going to look one way while i head back to town to find the bus driver!
Jer phones workers who then phone other workers to find out who and where Stan was with last. Also Jer calls parents who were on their way home but turn around to comfort ME. Also to help find Stan.

ok i find the driver .. after many long minutes.. we determined that Stan was not on the 5:20 .. ahhhh where is my brother?????.. tears or weird laughter was beginning to swell at an unstoppable place.

Bus driver takes his CB, and asks all drivers about the situation.. more long minutes.. Anyone with a Stan?.............................. Yes, the Thornhill Driver, the 6:20 (which was the bus at one moment behind this one) had a Stan. Everyone was quite sure it was our guy. ok thanks to all drivers especially this one who had patience and spent the time we needed with us even tho he also had a schedule to keep... blessings on you. *i won't ever grumble again for waiting for a late bus* ..sniff sniff...

Jump back into truck...........oh the melt down was to close...... deep weird wailing won for about 1 minute. .........ok HOME TIME. He may not be our Stan?? <<>> i can not go there. I just need to go and wait.

So my parents who swiftly came back into town because of me... Mom kept saying everything will be ok.....Thank you Mom for always being a calm in my storm.... Jer phones home Mal and Ben are waiting at the bus stop... Sheldon is making his way home.. workers have the message..... and so here we are ... Dad Mom Jer Mal Ben thunder....and me all waiting at the bus stop.. (mom even took out her camera) and finally which felt like the longest wait ever... The Bus Comes Down our Street!! we gasp!!! it stops!! and yes Stan is on it!!! He did have the oddest expression on his face ... a toss between my crazy family ...and did i miss something? haha he so didn't know why we were that happy to see him!!? ......sigh....


We never really did get what all happened.?? He was at one stop... but he ended up at another..So we assume he walked over?...missing his first bus and then waited for the next one. How he managed is a bit of a mystery?? There was a hushed discussion with my husband later that night on whether i should let Stan pursue the use of the bus... at what cost is independence worth?? Maybe we aren't ready for solo? Well the main reason we couldn't talk with Stan is his cell phone wasn't working, because we would have phoned him and then known where he was in seconds...sigh (he did have it- and is fixed now)..and there is truth to what my husband said, "He did what anyone would do.. he missed the first bus .. so he went on the next one." He did well and he was fine." sigh.... yeah....so in the near future you may see a glimpse of us..the one in the bus will look quite content. The one following in a tire squealing truck on the other hand...??

Jennaliscious its your birthday!!!!!!!! whoot whoot!!! i am so happy for you.(i do love birthdays you know) I am so happy you were born!!! whoot whoot!! It is a special thing to have a random friend ...one you didn't know through anyone really.. one you didn't grow up with... or one you didn't meet through your kids...one you might not have met at all....sniff that would be awful!... but i am so thankful we did meet!!..and that we did hit it off..*phew* and that we are the best walking buds ever. Did you ever notice that we never once have been out of things to chat about!! (we walk for about 2 hours...talking nonstop lol and this sounds funny but sometimes at the same time!! lol) You so rock Jenny. i honestly don't ever want to walk alone again! Thank you for making time for us to keep at it. I treasure our friendship. You are so a gift. ...love you sister. Happy bestest Birthday.

dull day

i think dull days are lacking color.... so when i can .. i buy flowers. Just a bunch at safeway... save-on-foods.. nothing so incredible.. but a little pick me up. Set on my kitchen table or waiting in the bathroom, it just gives a cheerfulness to the house.



so the other day i did a little "what flower are you?" quiz, and as it was, i turned out a snapdragon.. surprised ? yes.. really? so i took it again.. and yea i was a snapdragon.. which i did plant this year and i so love the little mischievous little girls..really a lovely little flower.. but me? ok so i wanted to post it but somehow lost everything but the flower.. so i went to retake the test one more time... and

menu meal plan ...

Well here is my Menu planning... thanks Jenny for all your inspiring meals.

Sunday: Roast Beef with Yorkshire Puddings, mashed potatoes, gravy, peas or corn and Fresh Apple Pie also Lemon Meringue Pie. (only because my oldest son whinned all day for some) Sleeman Original Draught taste very good with this meal.

Monday: Dill Soup. *thanks Jaime for the fresh dill* with soft white buns, cheese and a lovely red wine. left over Apple Pie.

Tuesday: Tacos: ground beef with spices, diced tomatoes, lettuce, grated tex mex cheese, salsa, sour cream. Pumpkin Cake with butter icing.

Wednesday: Creamy Fettuccine with Prawns... garlic toast, salad. Chocolate cake with pudding.

Thursday: Wok Food *lots of veggies and a little chicken and steamed noodles- very tasty. edit: we are now having LEFT OVERS

Friday: Chilli with fresh whole wheat bread and butter. Maybe i will make some homemade doughnuts *SMILE*

Saturday: Waffles and Pudding with cream and peaches.. maybe sausages or bacon.

Sunday: Roast Beef Dinner (dido from last sunday)

Monday: Meatloaf and KD peas/carrots. Maybe a dessert muffin.

Tuesday: Stew, Buttermilk Biskets and Tarts

my date was canceled ...oh well .. i met my nephew and his mom at walmart ... i looked around with them for maybe an hour. Joe did manage to find a nice pair of black pants..... (we'll do icecream another time) ..but all was not lost...i had a new date awaiting me...my surprise date phoned me and said to come to our favorite coffee shop.. (my hubby got off early and we love the coffee over at the starfish).. So off to the Starfish i rumbled...sweet!! good coffee, great muffin and the best company, my man. Got to love that!

Yeah plans are funny huh? make em' and break em'. oh well, i am hoping my plans with my walkin' buddie are still on.. eesh i have been blah tired this week...ick.... Well no matter it will pass. Yay for the weekend coming. i am so looking forward to it.. silly when we had such a long one last weekend .. but sometimes it is harder to get back to it *-it, being the real life-* ...h a h a ... ha..There isn't any real laugh there.

Real life .. why do we can the hard parts the real stuff? i think the fun stuff should be called the real life stuff.

Speaking of Funny..., a funny thing happened today.. this really did make me laugh.. Although it isn't really that funny but it was in the moment... This morning Stan my brother was taking the later bus but because of me...he missed it ..i could have taken him with my truck- But he was so bent on going ...the last few weeks he has been taking the bus on his own and he loves his independence with it...so how can i even refuse when he misses it...?? the bus stop is just outside our driveway.. goes down the road makes a huge circle and then finally heads toward town.. .. Arrg the next bus was in 2 hours...he would miss half of his meeting.....and he wouldn't hear of me taking him..(a 5 minute drive hehe) *Quick thinking* - wait a second!! The bus goes up and around then back down.. down where we are so very near! 'Stan you can still catch the bus if we get a moving!' Well we jumped in the truck me in my pjs haha, and met the bus three blocks over!! HAHA and i followed it out ... mercy it was way to funny. Stan running .. coffee spillin', pjs, slippers, my hair.. Stan so happy ... "BYE JOAN" crazy .. but real... the stuff you get to recall and still laugh and laugh about..... i love real stuff.

today i have a date with my nephew to go shopping..he has b-day money and wants to buy pants.
i think ice cream is also a good idea..hehe and maybe a second hand store looksy would be in order *smile*

i have chicken wings marinating in three sauces, (teriyaki, honey garlic and plum) waiting to be baked at supper time... so no worries about supper. All taken care of. *double smiles*

It would be fun to get some pics of Joe and me...i wish our town had an instant photo booth. they are so fun.. oh well maybe we'll go get tattoos instead. *JK-or at least they will wash off*

September camp out...

I had a need to go camping...Sheldon was out as it was race weekend... but i needed one more with the boyz before the weather was too cold... which it kinda was, but i had a card up my sleeve...

hey this would so fit my needs....hehehe too bad i didn't have the keys..or i sooo would have..*evilish laugh*

But my great plan... i would take my truck and my aunties little trailer... but sigh.. no under hitch.... Hummm i needed to tweek my plan ... Onto plan B...
