what a beautiful morning

Well i finally got caught up with all my posts...blog-land is almost as busy as real-land...lol maybe more!! my coffee has just perked me up and i feel a wonderful day approching...the clear soft blue skies surrounded with the glow of real SUNSHINE helps no dout. ...a dear friend sent me the Daffodil Principle - a short story- this morning and if i get a chance i will post it...really inspiring and a gorgeous picture.

rain rain go away...at least take a break..please!

good day over-all... the rain stopped..good thing as so many people were affected by the pour. i wasnt going to post anything tonight...but there is an amazing moon out ....just clear and lovely...maybe 3/4 full ?? i went to the gym had a good time again. feels so good to jump around and pull some muscles into submition..well lol at least try! looking forward to using my new skates on Tuesday. love that skating. so much fun. well hope you get to see this lovely night sky...so calm after a very rainy dark day...

the 23rd.....

today is the 23 rd ..the day that marks the day i found out there were two...the day our world took on a new color... the day that i knew a darker shade of grey...every month i remember ...my body doesnt even forget...i went low all day ...its been 13 months ... oh Lord i miss them. i am so sorry my body wouldnt house you ...i am so sorry...i miss you my twins..i miss you...there were two of you...i had never had that joy before. they said baby A and baby B....two... what a special gift. thank you....thank you..... let it rain...let it pour...

birthday parties....

wow today is my boys birthday...15 He loves getting older... he always has... He was born a little man. i love him so much. he has somehow always gotten around 2-4 parties..lol this year 2. well kinda 3 First my family then the next day his friends went boarding, then to end the weekend my husbands family...lol and he loves it. Different suppers and desserts for each party. This year he wanted homemade Baklava. (oh baby was that amazing!!) He makes me work but he really makes me laugh. It is important to him to have all those Uncles and Aunties..Grandparents....and dont forget the Cousins!! which we kinda did this year due to colds and sniffles... i wont kid you he loves the gifts...but he really loves the attention the chats the visit. May God continue to work in his life....one year at a time....happy birthday son...

open to the public...hummm

humm well i am in full throttle now...open the box and look what happens....i have another blog!! i joined a team of women with missions and goals...we are going to kick some hehe butts. lol i joined a gym today too... i start Monday. yikes so many new things come at the same time..when it rains it pours and its raining right now.... i am tired but happy....

skating..

Skating is so wonderful. Not only do you feel like you are freely shedding weight, (its the same feeling you get after a swim-which for me i like) but you are in a motion that is so forane, so out of my ordinary. btw i am a very poor skater, but i imagine i look marvelous and i am floating gracefully, soaring through the icy air ...LOL if you could only see how it really is. Something funny to watch i would assume.. arg maybe even too embarrassing to wittness. LOL...i cant even stop properly!! but how i love it!!! my son and i have a good time and we always try to entice others to come as well...to share the fun of course.

deceitful thats what....

My boys and i recently finished a story...The Tough Winter by Robert Lawson. A lovely little winter story. Very charming. There was a line in it, i thought of today. It was while we went for a walk. The wind tho blowing very hard was most delightfully warm and it even smelt nice. The line from the story was talking about the weather..."Deceitful, that's what it is, plain deceitful. Don't trust it none." Right ...i think that although is was a warm wind it is far from being spring.....and it just might be a lovely calm before the next blast of old man winter.... nope.. dont think we are near done winter. Although as my son pointed out "February the second is coming, so we shall see won't we mommy" Will Mr.Groundhog see his shadow? ...we could be having six more weeks of winter if he does???? haha isn't life fun....

stillness...and white

it is snowing .... i woke up to the stillness of it this morning...it can really bring both worlds, comfort and discomfort....a calmness and anxiety. which does it bring in my world?? mostly calmness... put another log on the fire, read another book, stay in my pjs, bake something, sigh...get cosy....but i wonder how some others fair with it...and although beautiful it can be so destressing and distructive....im abit tired today but with weather that beckons me to rest,... i guess i will.

cream puffs

i made 8 batches of cream puffs today...sigh the first 4 batches didn't work out so really the 'crunchy little bits' don't count but AlOt of work went into them regardless of how they look. Each batch takes 4 eggs so with quadrupling it ..16 eggs and you need to stir the eggs one at a time...painful but worth the end result ...usually... well the good news is the first batch doesn't taste so bad. well if you don't know they are supose to be creampuffs ...haha otherwise ..yeah crunchy. Why you might ask did i ( i better confess i didn't do this alone...my dear husband stired --which is all the work) ok so why did we make 4 good batches of cream puffs? because it is for my father-in-law's birthday. When made right oh the joy....they look, smell and taste soooo good....yum yum!! we made them with three different kinds of filling..whipped cream, (of course) chocolate custard, (homemade) and vanilla custard (moms recipe) So we should be covered in tastebuds!! there will be 15 of us at the party...about that anyhow...and these bad boys are butes. i am so relived that they turned out. my mistake was i didn't boil the water first, i just added the butter and water together and brought it to a boil. Not the right way!! but no worries just follow directions and wala beautiful!! and very hard to keep... "hun want to make another batch...lol just kidding" good for building the bieseps....also good for the stomach enlargement....which no one wants at this stage of January.
on a side note: how many cream puffs are made from a batch- well i have 56 big daddy-o puffs from my quadrupling huge batch so roughly i would have had 14 in a single batch. but they could have more if i made them a civilized size. these are three bite-fulls per puff....mercy.

Cream Puffs

1 cup Boiling water
1/2 cup butter
1/4 tsp salt

1 cup flour

4 eggs

In pot add water let boil first then add butter and salt. Stir till butter is melted. Bring to a boil.

Add flour all at once. Stir vigorously until it forms a ball and pulls away from sides of pan. Remove from heat.

Add eggs one at a time. Stiring thoroughly after each one.

Drop by spoonfuls onto a ...i use an air baker and i do not need my pan greased...but it does ask for the pan to be greased.

Bake in oven 425*f for about 20 minutes depending on size. The puffs shouldn't have any moisture beads showing. This will prevent the puffs to stay tall if you take them out to soon they will fall...no worries if they do fall because they still taste very good.

Cool on rack and slice in half and fill with cream of choice. Just try and only have one!!!mercy!!

you'd be 6 months today.....

...six months ....half a year...the things you both would be doing.....i miss what i never got to hold...and i long for your little faces that i never saw.... and i love you both even if heaven only gets to show you.... i imagine how your little chubby bodies would look like and your giggles would sound like ...how i wish we could have made you both see how much we wanted you, how much you were loved before we even thought of names.... our little babies... 'happy six month' baby A and baby B...mommy loves you....i am sending you so much love......

January...blues..nope

No january blues and i am so glad. last year was so hard .....and thinking how awful it was reminds me of how wonderful it is now. we get to make choices that is true ...but we dont always choose what comes our way...and last year ..not just january was really depressing. so today i am so glad that it isnt. i am pleasently content even if i have goals yet to be full-filled...and my family and i are calm, together, and healthy and for this moment i am so glad...... well my bread needs to come out of the oven....another nice thing....fresh bread to feed my family......yum.
