to cook or not too....

cooking requires a clean kitchen....

...with that said guess what condition mine is in.

*HA*

Monday: Lasagna-meaty one. Salad- homemade vinegar/oil dressing. French bread and bottle of red wine.
Concert at the Knox United Church @ 7:30pm. Tickets at the door $12.00
Edit: we didn't have the wine.. but the supper was good.

Tuesday:
Turkey soup with homemade bread. Coffee bars for dessert.
Youth group @ 7:00
Edit: we had trifle with fresh strawberries instead of coffee bars.*smile*
Edit again... the honest one. The Turkey soup..was actually called ----'s Power Healing Soup. It was maybe healing, if you thought you were dying anyways...well we did each manage to eat our small bowl of green puree nasty healing concoction... ((shudder)) but we wont ever have that one again on purpose. The trifle actually saved the meal. It was beautiful and tasted exquisite. We all sang later about the trifle who saved the meal.

Wednesday:
Fish ..either deep fried or baked, with lovely brown lumbard rice.
Edit: baked and my guyz loved it?? go figure.. it was ok.. i liked it in a wrap.

Thursday: Chickpea curry with homemade naan bread, and a fried rice dish.
-Bowling bowling bowling-
Edit: no time for naan but we did have fried rice / and i picked up a fried chicken from save-on foods just in case my boyz didn't love it, ..good plan momma. The chickpea curry was so excellent i couldn't believe it.
Edit: we also had The coffee bars tonight. They weren't as good as i thought they would be. I just wouldn't bother with those again.

Friday:
Jamaican Ribs with Jasmine rice. Maybe a pudding for dessert.
Edit: no pudding we had Jamaica Banana Bread. (which rocked) The jamaican ribs?... ok i guess... i have had better tho.

Saturday: Apple cider soup with cinnamon dumplings.
ok.. i will add a meat dish of some sort as well. Maybe cold cuts with buns.
Edit this was not even eatable. or at least "they" would not eat it. i may have added too much lemon, ?? it sounded so promising...."dumplings"... "saute the apples carrots onions garlic in butter ..add the cider slowly".... not! kinda like sucking a warm garlic lemon. ...."they" had fish sticks. And my 'tried and true" Raisin Cookies. which made me too high but are the best darn raisin cookies recipe i have.

Sunday: Roast beef with mashed potatoes, gravy, cooked veggies and yorkshire puddins.
Edit: we are not having this today. we are having pancakes ... or hashbrowns.. or how about the apple soup leftovers!!!
Edit again: we had grill cheese with carrot sticks...
